    The tradition of producing bark cloth which precedes weaving can be found in many areas of the archipelago but exists predominantly in Central Sulawesi, where the quality is considered to be the best in the country and where bark-cloth is still made for daily wear. But this unique heritage is in danger of vanishing. As International Day of the Indigenous People in August 9 approaches, Tempo English presents a report from Kulawi, Central Sulawesi.
