Negative campaigning is a reflection of low self-esteem. A person who spreads lies to damage another candidate in an election is a person who has run out of arguments. He wants his candidate to win, but instead of highlighting the good points about this candidate, he tries to damage a competitor by spreading lies. Negative campaigning is a way of insulting the intelligence of voters by a person who has lost his sense of reason.
